www.hodl.rocks/ is designed as a character-and-story collection rather than a random stack of traits. The strongest production method is a hybrid system: a consistent master otter identity, controlled variations, and individually art-directed rare pieces.

The core structure

Every collectible should include an otter, a clearly visible rock, a coordinated environment, a personality, and a short story. The rock is not a minor accessory; it is the emotional and visual center.

Metadata that adds meaning

Useful attributes include Character, Signature Rock, Rock Meaning, Raft Role, Environment, Mood, Accessory, Rarity, and Story Chapter. Avoid adding traits simply to increase the number of combinations.

Start smaller

A curated Genesis release of 100 or 333 pieces is easier to review, explain, and support than a rushed collection of 10,000. Every image should be checked for anatomy, duplicate composition, metadata accuracy, and thumbnail readability.

Storage and chain

The artwork and metadata should use durable decentralized storage such as Arweave or properly pinned IPFS. The chain and mint standard should be chosen only after reviewing costs, wallet support, marketplaces, developer tooling, and the project’s ability to maintain the experience.

No guaranteed value

NFTs are digital collectibles, not guaranteed investments. The website should clearly state the supply, mint price, creator wallet, royalties, rights granted to holders, reveal method, and technical risks.

Utility should be real and modest

Possible holder experiences include high-resolution artwork, character profiles, game avatars, community votes on new lore, merchandise access, creative contests, and conservation participation. Do not promise features that are not built or funded.

The package includes sample metadata files for the Genesis characters. They are a starting point, not a deployed collection.
